About Cale

Cale was appointed Director of Food and Beverage for Knollwood Country Club in February of 2020. Cale comes to Knollwood with tenured background in Catering and Restaurant Operations Management. Before joining the leadership team at Knollwood, Cale worked in a leadership role with Darden Restaurants overseeing Corporate Training of New Restaurant Openings as a Managing Partner. Cale was involved in the opening of 17 LongHorn Steakhouse locations spanning from Bismarck North Dakota to Decatur Alabama over 14 years of service.Cale and his wife Nicole have settled into the community and plan to grow with in both Knollwood, and Michiana, as they look to start a family. When Cale is not at the Club, he enjoys golfing and attending sporting events. In his down time, he enjoys completing his never-ending honey do list, obsessing over his landscaping and grilling no matter the weather. Cale is excited to be of service for all the Members here at Knollwood.

About Meredith

Meredith joined the Knollwood team in July 2022 as our Event Sales Director. Meredith has worked in many different fields since graduating from Bethel College in 2015 with a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and a Bachelor’s in Liberal Arts. Her most recent role before Knollwood was a job in hospitality. She realized that creating memorable experiences and celebrating important milestones with her customers and clients brings her a lot of joy and is very rewarding. Meredith is from the Michiana area, growing up in Niles, Michigan, where she still lives with her Fiancé and three cats, Louis, Clark & Stevie. In her spare time, Meredith loves reading, attending the two book clubs she belongs to, going for walks, and spending time with family and friends. She looks forward to creating connections with our members and helping them plan their events and milestones!

About Bailey

Bailey was appointed Member Relations Director of Knollwood Country Club in July of 2020. Before coming to Knollwood, Bailey had worked at multiple clubs in south west Florida doing everything from merchandising, event planning, and member relations. Bailey holds a degree from the University of Georgia in Fashion Merchandising and Product Development.  Bailey is originally from Athens, Georgia and has moved to Granger with her boyfriend and two fur babies, Bentlee and KitKat. When Bailey is not at the club she enjoys running, trying new restaurants and cheering on the Dawgs on football Saturdays! Bailey is looking forward to getting to know the members at Knollwood and assisting where she can.

About Jon

Jonathon Oppenheim comes to the Club with a wealth of knowledge in Golf Course Management. Jon has over 22 years of experience at several golf courses throughout the Michiana region: Morris Park Country Club, South Bend Country Club, and Juday Creek. Jon was born and raised in the South Bend area. He attended Saint Joseph’s High School and Holy Cross College. He has a degree in Golf Course Turf Management from Rutgers University. He is a Class A superintendent who has served on the local NGCSA as a board member and as president for over five years. Most recently, Jon was awarded the 2024 Melrose Leadership Academy recipient through GCSA. When Jon is not at Knollwood, he loves spending quality time with his wife Samantha, daughter Kinsley, and his dogs Bentley and Lewis. He enjoys watching Notre Dame football, Chicago Bears, and looks forward to his annual trip to The Masters. Jon has a passion for the game of golf, and this is what ultimately brought him to where he is today.

About Wayne

Wayne has been involved in Golf Course Operations for over 40 years having worked at four different courses during that time. He began at Wyndwicke Country Club in St Joseph, MI while in high school and eventually become the superintendent there. From there he moved to Indian Lake Golf Hills in Eau Claire MI where he was the superintendent and was instrumental in building the final nine holes of this course making it a 27- hole course. From there he went to The Oaks in St Joseph MI as a superintendent making that course one of the premier golf courses in the area. Following that he came to Knollwood Country Club and has been the Assistant Golf Course Superintendent for 18 years working side by side of the Superintendent taking care of day to day operations to maintain this course.Wayne has been married to his wife Jan for 33 years and resides in Benton Harbor MI with her and their dog Rocky, his best pal. They have one daughter, Anita and a son-in law Tanner who live in Dowagiac.

About Shawnte

Welcome Shawnte Jackson to our leadership team as your new Executive Chef. Shawnte brings passion in leadership, high standards of excellence, and a sweet tooth that translates to the pastries and desserts at your table! He will be out and about soon in the dining room and is excited to be part of the Knollwood family. His background includes an Associates Degree in Culinary Arts. He has been in the restaurant industry for over 20 years with the last 15 years as part of Darden Restaurant Group training corporate Chefs in New Restaurant Openings and dining room Operations Manager. In his spare time, Shawnte likes to decorate cakes, play basketball and most importantly spend time with my family.  

About Chance

I lived in Middlebury, Indiana, until we moved to Niles, Michigan, when I was four years old. I've had a racket in my hand since the age of 2, and I have never lost my love for the game of tennis. I decided to pursue tennis as a career after high school and have had the privilege of working with some of the greatest coaches in the area. First at Southshore Racquet Club, then at Notre Dame with their clinics and summer camps. I have also been an assistant coach for the Saint Joseph Highschool tennis team for the past four years under the tutelage of Hall of Fame Head Coach Steve Bender. Not only did he have one of the most successful programs, but he also taught me that a player’s character is just as important as their ability. In my free time, I love going traveling to different states with my beautiful wife Hannah, playing golf with my dad, playing volleyball with my mom and sister, watching horror movies, and spending time with family. I'm so blessed to have this opportunity, and I can't wait to meet all the members and create a fun community for racquet sports at Knollwood!

About Stephanie

Stephanie was born in Mishawaka and has spent the last 22 years in Granger. She attended Indiana University and received a degree in Office Management and Dental Assisting. Stephanie was a stay at home Mom for 15 years and then went back to work in Sales with Nabisco, Kelloggs, and then with Redbox before starting at Knollwood in 2019 as the Assistant Membership Director. When not working, she enjoys spending her time with her children. Stephanie is very excited about the future of the Club and working with all the Current and New Members.
